Say hi to JR! We got to chat with JR about his experience with Keto, and we’re so inspired by his whole journey.

“I started Keto April of 2018. One day, I looked at myself in the mirror and knew I was done accepting pain, self disappointment, lack of confidence and weak excuses for not getting healthier.”

With an unyielding commitment to give Keto his best shot, the results came quickly.

“On Keto, I lost a total of 58lbs in 5 months. Initial weight loss was quick. I lost a total of 11lbs the first week. Each week I started to lose less and less, but stayed consistent. Some weeks I didn't lose any weight at all and that was a bit discouraging. I increased workouts and it helped me get over my plateau and hit my goal weight.”

Like so many people that we’ve featured, Keto completely changed JR’s relationship with food.

“Keto has allowed me to learn so much more about the food that I'm putting into my body, how my body reacts to macronutrients and has given me back my self confidence. I'm a happier person now, and my energy sends happy vibes to those around me.”

He recognizes how big of a deal weight loss is for himself and a lot of other people. Hitting these goals has inspired JR to share his journey with others. He not only helps other’s with Keto, but even has the ambition to open a keto-friendly restaurant some day.

“Track your calories. Drink tons of water. Start off Low-Carb and ease into Keto if you need to. Don't let slow or no progress discourage you! Stay consistent and you'll smash your goals. And be involved with the Keto community! They're the best cheerleaders around.”
