Meet Brooke! She has one of the most popular Keto accounts on all of Tik Tok. Tik Tok is the coveted new social media app, and while it’s currently dominated by teenagers, there’s still millions of adults using it everyday to find cool content. For instance, the keto hashtag has over 180 Million views. 

Brooke now has over 170K followers that she inspires every week with tips and recipes to make Keto a little easier for all. 

So how did she get started on Keto herself?

“I've been living a keto lifestyle for three years now. I embarked on this journey after hearing through a friend that this process worked. At the time I was working out regularly and still struggling with issues like high cholesterol and low energy - I wanted to look and feel better. 

I decided to see if I could produce ketones in my own body through the keto diet and was amazed at how quickly I was noticing a difference. Not only did my energy levels increase, but I was losing weight immediately. I found it easy to cook keto-friendly meals and stuck with it.”

We asked Brooke what her best advice is for someone who is newish to the Keto lifestyle.

“My advice for anyone looking to start keto would be to take it one day at a time. It's incredibly overwhelming to think of altering your entire meal intake for an extended period. Try sticking to the same foods or same meals every day at first - meal plan. Once you have a base of what works for you, start incorporating different keto dinners. I recommend checking out websites like Pinterest for new and creative ideas! Keep a list of keto-friendly foods in your planner so that when you go grocery shopping you always have a reference to keep you on track. I also use a carbohydrate managing app on my phone and I make sure to put in everything that I consume, this even includes gum and condiments. Again, I know it can seem overwhelming, but if you take it one step at a time you'll find it's much easier to really commit to this new lifestyle. Good luck!”
